Introducing Vikki-Jo’s Advanced Clinical Practice Blog
In this series of blogs I will be exploring some ‘hot potatoes’ related to ACP training and education. I’ll talk from my personal experience on working in a leadership position in a University and designing and delivering on ACP linked education products. I’ll also bring in my thoughts as I start to explore this topic for my PhD studies, including the conversations I have with others working in this area and the evidence, policy and guidance documents and case studies I discover along the way. I hope you find this helpful as you take the leap to undertake, review, re-design, or create ACP education.
Vikki-Jo Scott is a Registered Nurse with a background in critical care. She is a senior lecturer in the School of Health & Social Care at the University of Essex focussing on courses which provide continuing professional development for health professionals. On completing her term of office as Dean of the school in 2020 she has embarked on her PhD in Health Studies.
